Who We Are
Somerville Investments was founded in 2013 by Gregg Somerville, registered financial advisor since 1985, with a singular focus: the client. Gregg and his brother Sean Somerville have spent a combined half-century helping families manage their capital and plan for their futures. Somerville Investments adheres to the fiduciary standard, meaning its advisors put its clients’ financial interests ahead of their own.

Founder & Financial Advisor
Gregg Somerville brings over four decades of investment and financial planning experience to his role as founder of Somerville Investments. A Registered Investment Advisor and Certified Financial Planner, Gregg is deeply committed to helping clients make informed, confident financial decisions.
He believes in building long-term relationships based on trust, transparency, and a clear understanding of each client’s unique needs. Gregg’s approach combines customized investment strategy with holistic financial planning, including retirement planning, estate guidance, and legacy planning.
Gregg holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Cornell University and has completed specialized coursework in financial planning and behavioral finance. When he’s not working with clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, and staying involved in his local community.
Sean Somerville
Financial Advisor
Sean Somerville started his investment career more than two decades ago, working first as an analyst for value-investor hedge fund CBM Capital and then on his own financial advisory practice at RBC Wealth Management and Morgan Stanley. He joined Somerville Investments in 2019. Before entering finance, he spent a dozen years in journalism – including four years as a financial reporter at the Baltimore Sun. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University and a Master of Science degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
Erik Somerville
Financial Advisor
Erik Somerville graduated from Hobart College with a bachelor’s degree in English. He worked part time for Somerville Investments from 2021 until 2023, when he joined the firm full time. He enjoys tennis, writing, and learning new songs on the piano.
Kevin Somerville
Associate
Kevin Somerville joined Somerville Investments in 2025 after graduating from Colorado College with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. Before graduating, he served as a captain of the Colorado College lacrosse team and completed summer internships with Whiting Turner and Constellation Energy.
